What is live looping?
|
Live looping is an innovative musical performance which harnesses real-time recording and playback of audio loops to create a multi-layered and full sounding performance. The technique utilizes loop pedals and software to record a segment of a song which is then repeatedly played back allowing the artist to add more music on top. As the recorded loops accumulate, the song builds in complexity and texture. This allows Brian to incorporate a variety of instrumentation, vocals and percussion, all recorded, performed and manipulated in real-time.
